I'm normally not one to make New Years resolutions but 2018 "goals" just sounds better and not as serious haha! I'm going to keep it short and sweet. After giving it some thought, I've decided these are the areas I want to work on this year. They are not in any particular order of importance.
1 - BE MORE PRESENT. These days it's so hard to be in the moment. I will admit that I'm on my phone all time. Excuse me while I cover my face in shame haha! I am going to try to be more present with my kids and husband and less focused on whats going on with my phone. This will be a tough one for me!!
2 - START EXERCISING. I know this is suuuch a typical goal/resolution but I would love to start doing a morning at-home work out three times a week. It's all about having the motivation to wake up before the kids to start the morning off with a work out!
3 - ORGANIZE MY HOUSE. I have become painfully aware that my closets, drawers, and shelves in my house are a type A person's nightmare. They're so disorganized that even I am getting annoyed by it. My friend showed me an instagram yesterday called @thehomeedit and let me tell you... she is organization goals! Follow if you need organization inspo.
4 - BE MORE CONSISTENT WITH DEVOTIONALS. This is probably the most important. I need to be better with my time management and make this more of a priority!
5 - EAT LESS SUGAR. This one will be really really really hard for me. Unfortunately, my body basically runs on sugar. I need to cut back on the sweets and late-night desserts. Pray for me on this one you guys.
6 - ALWAYS BEING THANKFUL. I think it's so easy to get caught up on all our first world problems. I know I have been guilty of this too many times this year. I have to continue to remind myself to be thankful for the things that REALLY matter like: my healthy kids, my husband, family, friends, our jobs, our home, etc.
