My NYC Trip (Outfits + Where We Ate)
Let me say, I already miss New York. I wouldn't want to live there because I'm a Florida girl at heart but if I could visit once a year, I'd be ecstatic.
When we arrived on Thursday we checked into our hotel. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown. The room itself was really spacious for NYC! We fit four girls and four giant suitcases in there... I say that's a win.
View from our hotel!
The first night in NYC we went to Scampi. SUCH a cute place with amazing food. I ordered the shrimp scampi since seeing pictures of the shrimp scampi on Instagram is what hooked me in the first place! I also tried a bite of everyone's meal and everything was incredible.
Night 1 OOTN:
The next day we started off at the Empire State Building. It was so worth going to. The views were breathtaking.
Our next stop was tea at the Plaza. WOW. I'd recommend it to anyone! We all agreed that it was one of the best parts of our trip. We each got a pot of tea of our choosing and lots of finger foods. It was a decent amount of food because we were all actually stuffed afterwards. You don't have to dress as fancy as we did for tea but we knew we wouldn't be back at the hotel til after dinner so we went a little fancier!
Central Park is right across the street from The Plaza Hotel so that was our next stop. Just in time to see the sun setting.
After Central Park we went to Buddakan which was my fav dinner spot of the trip. It was also the location of Carrie and Big's rehearsal dinner which is a fun bonus haha!
The nest day we did a lot of walking and it was in the 30's so I had to dress really warm. Let me tell you, this sweater and coat combo did the trick! I highly recommend this coat if you you are in the market for a teddy coat.
We went to Chelsea Market on this day and had bagels for breakfast. Wow. I'm not typically a bagel person but I had bagels a few times on this trip and there is just something magical about a bagel in New York haha!
For lunch I went to the Little Owl and it was incredible. I had the surf n' turf tacos and I'd recommend them any day of the week. The building that the restaurant is in is actually the building they used on Friends!
That evening we ran to the Brooklyn Bridge because we were trying to catch the view as the sun went down. We all had serious dedication to this view/pictures because I was running in these boots and I also got windburn on my legs. Gotta do it for the gram though haha!
For dinner we went to The Smith for dinner. It had a cute vibe and I got a burger and fries...I've found myself craving a burger and fries more and more these days.
On our last morning we went to Ess-a-bagel before we each went our separate ways. Probably the best bagel I've ever had. Definitely worth going to for breakfast.
The trip was a blast and honestly just what my soul needed. I really value and cherish all my female friendships. I think it's really important to take time out of your life and schedule to cultivate those friendships.
I look forward to going back to NYC in the near future. Until then, I'll always have this blog post.
